This super cozy, in-home session was filled with so much love! A couple years ago I photographer Zoey’s big sister Sophia, and I was extremely grateful to be welcomed back into their beautiful home. It’s always a little nerve wracking photographing other photographers babies, but we captured the relaxed and natural portraits that I knew her photographer Mama wanted. I love when other photographers make the effort to get in the frame with their families. I know the thought of photography days after your baby is born can be daunting, but we can work together to make sure your session is no stress and worth every minute.
Sophia is obviously so proud to be a big sister and it was just so sweet to witness! I absolutely love capturing the beautiful bond between siblings. One of my favourite parts about being a photographer is seeing children grow into amazing humans over the years. It never ceases to be any less magical. I know I sound like a broken record, but I know that I barely blinked and my kids grew up. So grateful to have each stage of their childhoods documented by many different talented photographers.
This morning was beautiful and I had so much fun photographing this family. Kristilee has a an eye for home decorating and every space was filled with gorgeous natural light.Not to mention, Mom had styled some adorable details into the space -hand painted walls in the nursery and the cutest pieces of art.
Baby Zoey did so well and was angel during her session. Just look at those gorgeous blue eyes! Even at such a young age babies can be so expressive and Zoey was no exception! While I love to photograph newborns are curled up and sleeping, awake babies are so adorable. I couldn’t get enough of her adorable little yawns!
