I’ve been excited to post this wedding for so many reasons. For starters, it was my first trip to the Sunshine Coast and I was blown away by the beauty and the feel of the entire area. I can not wait to return. But mostly it was because Claire and Lucas and beautiful wedding full of love. And full of details Claire designed herself. But mostly it was the all about the love.
Claire and Lucas opted to do the “first glance” and have their photographs prior to their ceremony. Even though they had spent the afternoon together the moment Claire peeked into the tent to see Lucas’s face there was not a dry eye in sight. Fittingly this matched the wet rainy day outside. But remarkably, by the time the vows were said the sunshine peek magically through the clouds and we were blessed with some warmth. Happiness would not begin to describe the feeling in that tent- I get warm fuzzies just thinking about the whole experience.
Even though it started pouring mere minutes into our portrait session, Claire and Lucas were real troopers and we enjoyed the whole “hold an umbrella over the bride and remove it right before the camera clicks” game. They didn’t complain and even though we only touched 1% of the scouted locations we definitely captured some of the vast beauty of the area. And it’s lucky when it rains on your wedding day, right? The location was such a nice change from Edmonton’s city skyline and prairie and it was such a pleasure to join them on this (Canadian) destination wedding.
Thank you so much Claire and Lucas for including me in your day and being so beauitful inside and out.
