It’s been a while since I blogged a wedding, but that’s okay since this blog is long enough to make up for the lack of weddings around here through the past few months. I’ve been photographing so many awesome families lately, and now my wedding season as started up again for the summer- so lots more blogging to come. I luckily escaped winter for a week with Danielle, Loren and their families to sunny Mexico. We ended up missing an entire week of -35c so it couldn’t have been better timing. We stayed just outside of Cancun at the lovely Azul Sensatori hotel. The resort itself was expectational and I enjoyed every minute of our week, especially the wedding day. The weather was perfect and the resort had everything planned down to the last detail. So impressed.
The wedding day was filled with so many happy tears- including the best groom’s expression upon seeing his bride I have ever seen. Loren’s love for Danielle was incredibly obvious through the week, but the moment he first saw Danielle walking down the isle was pure joy and perfection . How could anyone in his presence not be filled with happy tears too? We were all a bunch of saps, because I’m pretty sure every single person shed a couple of tears during that ceremony. I adore anytime couples don’t hold back and write their own vows to share their love. It’s not only incredibly sweet, but it’s also so personal. It’s a honour to be there to hear those words.
Thank you Danielle and Loren for sharing your wedding day (and your week) with us. I just loved so many things about it, including how we incorporated your favourite things into the images too- like your love for kiteboarding and volleyball. I feel so much happy when I look at these images and think back on your day. It’s my wish that they do the same for you both.
Lots of hugs and love,
Kelsy
