I was lucky enough to spend a week at the beautiful Grand Bahia Principe Tulum on the Riviera Maya with Brittany & Matt. This resort is such a fabulous place to bring a big group for a wedding- there’s something for everyone. I even blogged about our family experience over at Twirls and Travels -it was highly recommend!
Back to Brittany and Matt. The feeling of anticipation leading up to their big date was high- they had so many friends and family fly down to Mexico to celebrate with them. It was truly a week long party full of sun, sand, great food and drinks. When the day arrived we were blessed with perfect weather (mid twenties with a light breeze) and nothing but smiles from all in attendance. Everyone was so relaxed and ready to enjoy the day.
The ceremony was oceanside and intimate. I’m pretty sure everyone got a little teary more then once that afternoon. After our portraits we were able to relax with the guests before taking a little train ride to another part of the resort reserved just for beach front receptions. Being able to keep your toes in the sand and hear the waves crash during dinner was nothing short of perfection. A dance party on the beach finished up the evening- I couldn’t think up a better day if I tried. Or think of lovelier people to share it with.
Thank you Brittany and Matt for having my family and I at your destination wedding. We truly enjoyed every minute. It’s so great to escape from an Edmonton winter to the beach, even for a week. Thank you for trusting me with your memories.
