Extended Family Portrait Session at Strathcona Science Park in Edmonton, Alberta
I often photograph adorable immediate families with young children in their favourite places. But a large portion of my work comes from photographing extended families. Siblings, aunties, grandchildren, all gathered together to create memories through portraits. Often these sessions are a gift for grandparents, or even great grandparents. It’s fun to include family portraits at a major event like a family reunion, or at an ordinary event like Sunday family dinner. Whether you see your extended family once a year or every week, portraits of everyone together are always a good idea.
Typically we have a lot of fun photographing each family individually and together as a large group. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and we always leave time for play. Always time for some fun! Every family unit comes away with their own set of portraits. Additionally we create images of the entire group together and any combination request in-between. It works out to be a wonderful way for each family to get a “mini session” and include a gorgeous set of extended family portraits. It’s the perfect gift to give your family. And I promise I’ll make it easy.
If you’re interested in booking a multi-generational family portraits session, send me a message and let’s chat about all the options open to your family. Although I do book up quite early for fall and summer sessions, spring and late winter also work wonderfully if you’re interested in something a bit different. Let’s connect! Can’t wait to photograph your family.
