Exciting news around here!!! There’s been so many Christmas mini session inquiries over the past month, I have decided to host my annual holiday mini sessions over TWO weekends, including both inside and outside options! Without the typical Holiday parties this winter, it’s the perfect year to send out Christmas cards and photos to those you won’t be seeing during this pandemic winter!
My inside sessions will be hosted in my urban loft studio, right downtown. This option will include the white classic brick and hardwood floors for a simple and timeless look, or a Christmasy modern set, perfect for the holdiays. We will stay warm and cozy! These minis will take place Sunday November 8th and Saturday the 14th.
If you prefer to stay outside, wintery mini sessions will take place within a beautiful small grove of pine trees conveniently located in Whitemud Creek. These session will not have any props, but will have gorgeous trees and natural lighting. These minis will take place Saturday November 7th & Sunday the 15th.
Each style of session includes 25 minutes of shooting time with Kelsy Nielson, an online gallery, a Christmas treat for the kids, and 5 digital files of your choice.

Some Q&A:
Can we just take family portraits and not worry about the Christmas theme?
Yes! You don’t need to come dressed in red or wear pjs! You do you! We can photograph you in the studio with no props, or outside with nature as our background. Christmas theming is up to you!
What about Covid-19?
I have worked with AHS to ensure these sessions can be photographed safely, including a longer break in-between sessions to ensure your family is the only one you see! I also will follow all their recommendations regarding masking and proper social distancing. Please email me if you have any questions about your families safety as I am confident these will be no risk to your family.
What if the weather is super cold on the day of our session?
I plan on running the outdoor minis unless there is dangerously cold weather or conditions. We will not proceed if there is freezing rain or it’s colder than -20. The sessions should be short and sweet, so we should be able to photograph your family even in cool weather or snow. If terrible conditions do exist on the day of our shoot, we will have back-up dates with the ability to rebook.
Can we purchase more files or buy greeting cards and other products?
Absolutely! I can help you get these images up on your walls and sent in holiday cards!
