Julie and Adam were my first wedding of 2011. We lucked out and got a wonderful snowy day that wasn’t to chilly- just hovering around zero. Their venue choices were impeccable, from St. Josephs Basicilla to the Wedgewood room at the Fairmont Hotel MacDonald. The entire day was full of elegance and our outdoor formals with freshly fallen snow added to the magic of a winter wedding. Julie knew she wanted nature for the majority of the images so even though it was chilly everyone toughed it out to venture into the trees for the bride. Thank goodness, since the images were worth the 20 minutes of cold.
The reception was full of laughter and tears from everyone in attendance, myself included. The speeches made me tear up from laughing so hard and then the first dances made the tears really fall. The Mother of the groom poked a little fun at me after the dance, saying “Everyone’s crying! And you don’t even know them and you’re crying!” Well, I didn’t really need to know them all that well- seeing the emotion in their eyes and just being in the presence of the bond that they share was enough for me. It’s one of the reasons I love weddings so much. I get to know my couples on the surface before their wedding… but throughout the actual day as I’m watching their purest emotions and the seeing the way two newly married people just look at each other, I can’t help but feel that I know who they really are . Love is such a beauitful thing.
Merci de partager une belle journee avec moi.
