I started my career only photographing weddings. I was shooting 30-40 weddings a year, loving every single minute of it. Fast forward 5 years and the birth of my beautiful baby girl…I knew I couldn’t give that many weddings that time and dedication they needed. I love to pour my heart into shooing weddings, so I soon decided to limit my collection to two weddings a month. I couldn’t be happier with that decision. I am able to give my clients all the time and love they deserve, and I get to be the best mom I can. Balance is a magical (and tricky!) thing. It was a difficult to stop doing something I love so much, but it has worked out so well in the end. And now I have so many incredible weddings to share on this blog that have been waiting for their moment in the spotlight.
I choose to feature Katherine and Stephan first. I love this wedding because of their pure emotion through the day. I love reminding my brides to just me themselves- if you want to laugh, laugh, if you need to cry, cry. It’s okay to let it out and be fully present in your day, without worrying about being “perfect”. Those big emotions are what tells your story. Katherine and Stephan connected with their whole hearts throughout the day and it shows through the photos. They didn’t stop laughing, they didn’t stop enjoying just being together. They were their most authentic selves and I loved being apart of their story.
