Outdoor Newborn Photography
There is nothing more precious than a baby with a bow! I was so honored to capture little Andie’s family this summer. This babe was just so sweet and expressive! She giggled and gurgled and smiled throughout our whole session and had completely won my heart over by the end. Also, there is seriously nothing cuter than baby fashionistas. Little Andie was adorably stylish in a tiny jean jacket and matching booties. The mini versions of clothes will always make my heart explode! To keep Andie cozy later in our session Andie’s parents brought the softest blanket ever! As soon as Andie was wrapped in her blanket, it was snuggle time and she was oh so happy! The photos of this family cuddling together are so sweet and some of my favorites from this outdoor newborn photography session.
The Edmonton River Valley made the perfect location for this baby’s first portrait session. The dappled light from the trees was absolutely gorgeous and we even got a dramatic sky moment as the sun started to go down. Some photographers would have been sad about a cloudy golden hour, but I embrace moments like these! The dark and moody cloud cover made for a beautiful backdrop behind this family’s portrait. I absolutely love how it turned out!
During these pandemic-centered times, I completely understand and empathize when parents are concerned about having a lifestyle newborn session in their own home. An outdoor portrait session is a perfect alternative to this! I always ensure our sessions are as COVID safe as possible and socially distant, plus natural light is always so beautiful! Baby portrait sessions are a really great option and everyone wins!
