Mielke Family- Lifestyle Photography in Edmonton
Photographing the Mielke Family was such a beautiful experience. The three of them share such a deep connection of love and it shows in everything they do. From the way they looked at each other, to the way they snuggled up without a prompt, this family was a dream to photograph.
Mama Ashely is one of Edmonton’s amazing Top 40 under 40 for her work as a psychologist in the difficult field of Grief. She leads a team of therapists at the Grief and Trauma Healing Centre and helps others on daily basis get the counselling they need. She is such a beautiful soul. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to get to know over the course of our lifestyle photography session together.
Five year old Leyton completely stole the show during our session! He’s just the sweetest kid with a heart big like his mamas. I loved how Ashely brought some of his favourite toys to play with at the beach. Bringing his favourite things gave him ability to just relax and have some fun, all while I took adorable candids being surrounded in golden light. I love the golden light in summertime for portrait sessions. If we can incorporate sunset into our time together, I’m one happy photographer. Plus you’ll be happier with the results! But if it’s impossible to keep your kiddos awake that late on a midsummer night, don’t stress! We can get beautiful, natural family photography together anytime!
