There’s nothing I love more than a sweet tiny baby all wrapped up in their parents arms. I’m so grateful to photograph many of those perfect first moments of being a family. My approach to newborn photography might be a little different than what you’ve seen- I appreciate the small moments just as much as appreciate a perfect portrait. Those sweet, in between moments are my favourite.
Those little moments like…
The first time Dad tries out a new swaddle technique.
The quiet moments of nursing your little one in your favourite rocking chair.
The details of the nursery you worked so hard on creating in your ninth month of pregnancy.
And of course, snuggling your newborn in your own bed. It’s the family bed they grow up knowing is their safe place. The place where they come in the middle of the night for comfort and the place where they’ll wake you up early on Sunday morning for giggly tickle fights.
I want to photograph the beginnings of your new family, in your safe place, your home.
