This isn’t just any Nielson family, this is part of mine! My brother and his family were up from Texas for a quick visit and we were able to squeeze some family portraits into our camping trip out at Dinosaur Provincial Park. If you haven’t made it out past Brooks into this Unesco World Heritage site, you’re missing out. It’s incredibly beautiful and well worth the trip. It’s pretty incredible, one minute you’re driving through a field knowing you only have a kilometre to go and all of a sudden the ground opens up and you’re in the middle of a canyon. There’s no where else like it. Just like there’s no other family quite like this one. Full of energy and laughs, the Nielson’s are some of my favourite people in the whole world.
I’m so happy to share these images of a little slice into our hour in the hoodoos. Next time we will be sure to shoot at sunset- it’s hot out in those badlands! But we were too busy spending every minute of quality time together 🙂
