Rachael and Rommel eloped with 50 of their closest friends and family to Punta Cana in April. My little family came along for the adventure. We all stayed at the beautiful Barcelo Punta Cana Palace Deluxe- a fantastic resort for families with children. It may have been my favourite resort we’ve ever stayed it- 3 different water parks for the kiddos, pools, golf and activities galore. It even included a perfect beach that was right out of a magazine. The week flew by and we enjoyed it to the fullest. And I think every guest can agree with that!
The wedding was held on the spa roof top overlooking the ocean. It had a bit of a luxurious Miami vibe- exactly what Rachael wanted. The weather was bright and sunny, which was perfect for the parasols & fans the couple brought down for their guests. Their children led the processional and by the time Rachael walked the aisle tears were flowing freely. I loved how Rommel kept blaming the tears on sunscreen in his eye as he tried to read his vows. I loved Rachael gently wiping his tears away. I loved how they looked at each other and how they laughed their way through the ceremony. The rest of the day continued to be perfect- not a cloud in the sky, so much laughter and so much happiness. I wish we could be back on that beach right now.
Rachael and Rommel, thanks for a wonderful day and a wonderful week. I loved getting to know your family and being a part of your destination wedding.
And then next up on the blog- R&R’s family pictures on the beach- so much fun.
Cheers
Kelsy
This blog got way to long- even with only a fraction of the beach portraits! So no reception pics- but trust me it was a gorgeous open air venue full of gold and pink details.Love it!
