I was lucky enough to photograph this family a second time on as they’ve welcomed their new son home. I find that my newborn sessions, photographed in the comfort of the families home, really become a lot like lifestyle sessions. We photograph the new baby alone, but then also tend to spend time photographing the new family dynamics, the big siblings, adorable pets, proud parents- all showcasing the coming together to celebrate the birth of a baby. I love getting images of siblings loving on their new baby brother, and creating memories for moms to look back on with fondness. There is something very special about those first few weeks at home with a new baby. The first weeks are always exhausting, and sometimes comes with their own set of unique challenges, but watching everyone fall in love with the new member of the family is the most beautiful thing to see.
