Erin and Shane were married at Eagle Ranch Golf Club in Invermere, BC, this month. The day started out warm and sunny but slowly the clouds rolled in threatening their outdoor ceremony. As luck would have it the rain held off until just after the first kiss. A few drops here and there fell as we rushed around doing their portrait session. In the end they had a terrific thunderstorm on their wedding day and I’m told that’s very lucky. Erin and Shane must have been wearing horseshoes since after the storm a perfect double rainbow appeared over the golf course followed a beautiful sunset….oh and did I mention 2 bald eagles soaring over the ceremony? Pretty sure that must mean something lucky in some culture or another. But Erin and Shane are the kind of people who you hope really good things happen too- they are sincere and kind and thoughtful-but most of all they have a way of making you feel like you have been friends forever. Just two of the most amazing people I’ve had the pleasure to work with. I mean, really, what kind of amazing girl is valedictorian and prom queen?
Erin and Shane had lots of special parts to their wedding that made me smile, but I teared up at perhaps an unlikely part. After their first dance they surprised their guests with a choreographed dance routine to “Down” by Jay Sean. They were dancing around just looking so in love and happy and all the guests were cheering and laughing. It was such a moment of pure joy. You could feel the love radiate from the room. A moment later the dance floor filled and not a person was left in the seats. I could not stop smiling.
I’m so glad when good things happen to good people. Your day could not have been better.
If I ever make it down to Boston I am totally taking you up on a visit and a tour 🙂
Hugs,
Kelsy

I snuck Erin and Shane out of their reception for those last few sunset images. I was waiting till a small break in the nightly events when the light outside was just right. Again we were *lucky* as the sunset right behind the mountians only minutes after we went outside. We had such a small window of time- maybe 10 minutes tops- and it just barely worked out. I love when things work out 🙂
