Teri & Curtis- Central Alberta Wedding Photography

Teri and Curtis were married in my hometown of Innisfail on a beautiful hot summer day. I was so looking forward to this wedding as Curtis is one of my oldest friends. We met in playschool and have been friends ever since. I even have some photographic evidence of our friendship.

I do enjoy the fact that my shoes so nicely match my sweater….. however, I wish I would have been smiling nicely for the camera like my little buddy Curt.

It is awesome to see Curtis so happy with Teri. They are definitely the perfect match and I loved photographing their connection. The entire day was wonderful and filled with so many past clients (and their kiddos- and almost kiddos! One of my past Brides at the wedding, Michelle , went into labour that night!). The wedding was at Maple Dell Farms, which is a lovely small town farm wedding spot. The day was just so relaxed and happy. Teri put a lot of work into the decor and the details and it definitely did not go unnoticed ( seriously the flowers girls and ring bearer wearing green converse sneakers was the cutest thing ever!) But more importantly the day was about them and having a celebration. I got to admit I cried several times through out the day- firstly as Teri was getting ready to come down the isle and the music was starting. However, Curtis snapped me out of it when he said “Kels! Please make sure you don’t photograph me from the waist down.” And sure enough I saw what he meant- he’d ripped the entire crotch out of his pants moments before the ceremony. Nothing like humor to lighten the mood. I also shed a few tears when they were leaving the ceremony to One Republic’s “Good Life”.  Teri was looking out at her friends and family crying happy tears and I couldn’t help but join her. Yes, it is really a good life.

Enjoy a sneakpeek of your wedding images. I didn’t do a great job of narrowing down, and *sigh* I didn’t even get to bridal party or all the locations in ventured too. So many more I can’t wait to share.
